Writer’s Conference Coming to West Michigan to Share Book Publishing Tips for Aspiring Authors
Grand Rapids, MI – Various surveys show that over 80 percent of people would like to write a book during their lifetime. The challenges for most aspiring authors are many, ranging from how to craft a story to proper book layout, editing, design to sorting through a multitude of publishing options. The book publishing industry is a big world that can be confusing and intimidating, especially for first-time authors.
To help inspire and guide those considering or currently writing a book complete the task and get their book published, several local authors and publishing experts are coming together to share their knowledge and expertise on Thursday, May 19 from 12-4pm at Studio D2D Event Center in downtown Grand Rapids, MI.
The half-day event will focus on several key areas in the publishing process including story creation, the writing process, self-publishing tips, traditional publishing dos and don’ts, as well as panel discussions with professionals on effective ways to market and promote a book to help reach more people. Each attendee will receive a copy of the latest book from each presenting author. The registration fee is $129.00 per person and attendance is limited to 50 people. The first 10 sign-ups will also receive a free 30-minute phone or Zoom consultation with Tony Rubleski and Kelsey Sanders.

Event host Tony Rubleski is currently the president of Mind Capture Group and the creator of the bestselling Mind Capture book series. His seventh book in the series, Positive Disruption, released in December 2020. He will be releasing his eighth book in November 2022. His work has been featured in various media outlets including Toastmasters magazine, The Detroit Free Press, the FOX TV network, ABC, CNN Radio, NPR, and Entrepreneur Radio. He’s also served as a faculty member and instructor for the U.S Chamber of Commerce (IOM) and is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Marketing.
