The Power of Vision
In my new book, Trailblazers: Leadership Lessons from 12 Pioneers Who Beat the Odds & Influenced Millions, I interviewed several world-class leaders and found that they share Seven Key Characteristics which increase their chances of sustained success. The third trait or characteristic of the seven is Vision.
Here are five quick reasons why Vision is important to employ as you go about daily living:
#1: It helps to keep you pushing forward on days you’re frustrated or not feeling inspired
#2: Without vision, the idea or goal can easily perish or get delayed indefinitely
#3: Helps you to stay focused and press through procrastination when it seems like a million other things are distracting you
#4: It inspires and motivates others to join or support your mission
#5: A great reminder to sell yourself each day on your passion when others may not see or believe can possibly be achieved
To drive home the importance of Vision I’m reminded of advice from the Bible found in Proverbs 29:18:
“Where there is no vision, the people perish. “
