The Power of Persistence
In my new book, Trailblazers: Leadership Lessons from 12 Pioneers Who Beat the Odds & Influenced Millions, I interviewed several world-class leaders and found that they share Seven Key Characteristics which increase their chances of sustained success. The second trait of the seven is persistence.
Today, I came across a stunning video from the 1972 Summer Olympics that stopped me in my tracks. The video exemplifies the second trait, the power of persistence, and clearly demonstrates while we should never quit too soon. I’ll keep this blog post short and you decide for yourself. The race winner, USA’s Dave Wottle, starts way behind and ends up shocking everyone.
Enjoy this classic sports moment and the power of persistence!
