Failing Forward – Turning Mistakes into Stepping Stones for Success by John Maxwell. I read this book once a year and here’s why: it’s a powerful reminder that we will all encounter adversity and that we have a choice to let it make us either bitter or better.
This book is not only motivational, but it’s loaded with amazing stories of those who persisted onward in the face of heavy adversity and short-term setbacks. A common ingredient in ALL high-achievers is that they face temporary setbacks on the road to success and push to the front and persist onward.
I’ll keep my remarks brief and simply tell you to go out and get this book. You’ll thank me later!

Here’s one of my favorite quotes from John:
“Be more concerned with what you can give rather than what you can get because giving truly is the highest level of living.”
